Here is the first layout of Camielle Brielle! I’ve been wanting to scrap since she’s been born–about three weeks now! I finally got this one done! I think with all the flurry of activity–church, mom and dad’s, taking care of Camielle, household chores–it took me a little over a week to do this page. But I love it! Enjoy!
First LO! August 4, 2008
Starting Anew August 4, 2008
With the birth of our daughter Camielle Brielle Young, I thought it was time to scratch my other blog, which you can view the other posts at stickyfingers-tarren.blogspot.com, and start anew. A new life, a new blog.
So, right now it is currently August 3, 2008 at 10:58pm. Camielle is three weeks today. Alas, three weeks and she still has her nights and days mixed up. Will I ever sleep again?….Don’t answer that. It’s all worth it though.
Right now, Camielle is in her swing. She was sleeping so good, that I hated to change her diaper at 9, but I also hate letting her set in a wet diaper. So, I changed her, and fed her a little, and tried to lay her down. Nope, she wouldn’t have it. At 10, I laid her down again, and actually got to lay in bed for about five minutes or so before she started fussing. Check the crib…wide eyed and bushy tailed she was. Prediction: another long night.
Ray (hubby) and I have tried everything to get her to sleep in her crib at night. During the day she is fine, but it’s another story at night. I want her to sleep in the crib. It’s a beautiful crib that Grandma Ferris got her, that mommy picked out.
We’ve tried making it a bit “smaller” in the crib as we didn’t do a bassinet, and we thought maybe she felt lost in the crib. So, mommy is waiting for her to fall asleep in her swing to put her into her crib. Mommy is also waiting on a glider to come back in stock on walmart.com since our Elmira Foursquare Church Family pulled together and got us a walmart gift card for Camielle. And she enjoyed the glider at the hospital on the pediatric floor when readmitted for her jaundice.
Speaking of jaundice…I don’t see any more yellow in her at all! Yay! I’m sure there’s probably some still there, but mommy can’t see it. Of course, mommy maybe prejudice in thinking Camielle is so beautiful anyway, that I just see right past the yellow if there is still some there. And as of Friday, August 1, her weight was 6lbs. 15oz! Mommy thought she was getting a tad heavier!
Anyway, I’m hoping (keep your fingers crossed) that I can keep this updated on a regular basis. It will be a little bit about everyday life, but mostly scrapbooking…and the new subject I have to scrapbook! Believe me, in three weeks, I’ve probably taken close to a 1000 pics of Camielle! Thank goodness for digital cameras now and I can print the ones I want! (Thanks again Derek and Niki for the camera! You two rock!)
